The Program is proud to offer modern, new facilities with a robust simulation and ultrasound curriculum.</p> <p>Salary as 1.0 FTE - Only 32 weekly work hours - Allows clinical employment during week</p> <p>General Responsibilities Include:</p> <ul> <li>Instruct didactic year students, participating as Course Director as directed </li><li>Participate in didactic lab activities throughout the didactic quarters </li><li>Review didactic year student evaluations from courses taught </li><li>Participate in the Didactic Curriculum Committee to evaluate and develop curriculum </li><li>Develop, maintain, and mentor adjunct instructors </li><li>Participate in committees at the department and college levels </li><li>Provide feedback at the Annual Curriculum Review </li><li>Mentor and advise physician assistant students </li><li>Participate on the Student Progress Committee </li><li>Prepare and track grade sheets for courses as the Course Director </li><li>Participate in scholarly and research activities; maintain CME requirements </li><li>Evaluate, revise, and coordinate didactic course curriculum </li><li>Participate in ongoing Self Study activities for accreditation </li><li>Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum that conforms with the Program's mission, goals, and objectives </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of ARC-PA accredited program </li><li>Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies </li></ul> <p>Licensure</p> <ul> <li>Current NCCPA certification </li><li>Eligible for licensure in Tennessee </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Preferred: at least 3 years' experience of clinical practice </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Doctorate degree </li><li>At least two years of PA Education experience/Didactic teaching experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Other Information</p> <ul> <li>Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience. </li><li>Full-time faculty members are encouraged to participate in clinical practice to maintain clinical skills and to ensure quality of teaching. A one-day release time is available to full-time faculty who secure clinical practice. Faculty who practice one day/week are still responsible for the duties and responsibilities listed in their job descriptions. </li></ul>
