Our doors opened in October 2008 with 39 medical and dental patients seen that first week and we've grown to see thousands of medical and dental patients each year. As a non-profit community health center, we have been organized to become the patient's medical home for preventive care and to promote overall well-being, thus reducing the number of emergency room visits.</p> <p>Benefits Package</p> <p>Competitive base salary, Medical Insurance, Dental and Vision Insurance, PTO Accrual, 401K Company Match, 12 Paid Holidays, Company paid life insurance, Employee Health Reimbursement Program, No PTO needed for employee preventative care appointments, Employee Assistance Program, employee discounts, summer picnic, and much more!</p> <p>About the Dental Pre-Authorization Specialist Position</p> <p>The Dental Pre-Authorization Specialist is a professional who facilitates the process of obtaining prior authorization for dental treatments from insurance companies.</p> <p>This role ensures that necessary treatments are covered by the patient's insurance plan before they are administered, helping to avoid claim denials and delays. The Pre-Authorization Specialist acts as a liaison between the dental practice, the patient, and the insurance company.</p> <p>Duties include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Analyze dental treatment plans to determine if the insurance company requires prior authorization. </li><li>Collects necessary documentation, such as chart notes, radiographs, and diagnosis information, to support the authorization request. </li><li>Prepares and submits authorization requests to the appropriate insurance companies. </li><li>Monitors the status of submitted requests and follow up with insurance companies to ensure timely processing. </li><li>Communicate with dentists, patients, and insurance representatives to address any questions or concerns related to the authorization process. </li><li>Maintains accurate records of all authorization requests and their outcomes. </li><li>Responsible for closing out dental referrals for all dental providers once patients have seen specialist that was recommended. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Qualifications, Education, and Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or Equivalent. </li><li>Minimum 1-2 years dental office experience as a pre-authorization specialist, patient coordinator or similar role. </li><li>Attendance required at assigned CHDC site(s) </li></ul> <p>CHDC is an equal opportunity employer.
