<p>About This Job</p> <p>We're seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II with Metrology Focus to join our Manufacturing Operations team. This is an important role that safeguards product integrity and regulatory compliance through advanced metrology systems and precision measurement protocols that directly impact patient safety and market access. We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II with Metrology Focus to join our Operations Engineering team at ProMed Molded Products. You'll design and implement metrology systems that ensure dimensional accuracy across manufacturing processes while developing quality assurance procedures that detect non-conformances before product release. Your expertise will establish measurement uncertainty analysis and gauge repeatability studies, validating system capability for reliable quality data. You'll create process validation protocols and documentation systems supporting regulatory submissions, while designing manufacturing work instructions that ensure consistent execution and reduce operator variability in our medical device manufacturing environment. We're only considering candidates from The Minneapolis Metro area. No relocation assistance is available for this role.</p> <p>To Be Considered For the Role</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in mechanical, quality, or manufacturing engineering or equivalent work experience </li><li>A minimum of 1 year of experience in contract manufacturing, measurement systems, quality control, injection molding, robotics </li><li>A basic understanding of performing statistical analysis using Minitab software for process optimization, capability studies, and quality data interpretation </li><li>A basic understanding of conducting measurement system analysis studies to quantify measurement variation and validate the capability of inspection equipment and methods </li><li>A basic understanding of creating Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) protocols for manufacturing processes </li></ul> <p>Think You Might Be Right For The Role?</p> <p>Additionally, our ideal candidate possesses the following:</p> <ul> <li>Some past experience in contract manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, silicone plastic injection molding. </li><li>A basic familiarity with directing engineering technicians to help get tasks done on time and within budget. </li><li>Experience leading large-scale projects with budgets of at least $500k focused on implementation of inspection systems for online and lot release of molded components. </li><li>Three or more years of experience in contract manufacturing, measurement systems, quality control, injection molding, robotics. </li><li>A working knowledge of interpreting and applying GD principles to create inspection plans and measurement strategies for complex medical device geometries. </li><li>A basic familiarity with operating vision systems, laser scanners, and optical comparators to perform non-contact dimensional measurements and surface analysis. </li><li>A basic familiarity with implementing and maintaining quality management system procedures specific to medical device design and manufacturing. </li><li>A working knowledge of performing advanced statistical analysis using Minitab software for process optimization, capability studies, and quality data interpretation. </li><li>A working knowledge of conducting measurement system analysis studies to quantify measurement variation and validate the capability of inspection equipment and methods. </li><li>A working knowledge of creating Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) protocols for manufacturing processes. </li><li>A working knowledge of calculating process capability indices and performing capability studies to demonstrate manufacturing process control and predict quality outcomes. </li><li>A working knowledge of evaluating and selecting appropriate measurement instruments based on tolerance requirements, measurement uncertainty, and process capability needs. </li></ul> <p>You'll Love Working With Us Because...</p> <p>At ProMed Molded Products, we specialize in precision injection molding for the medical device industry, where our commitment to quality and innovation directly impacts patient care and medical outcomes.
