<p>Northwestern State University's College of Nursing and School of Allied Health seeks an applicant for a 9-month full-time faculty position for the Associate/Bachelor of Science degree programs in Nursing available in Shreveport beginning January 5, 2026.</p> <p>Academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Unencumbered licensure status as an RN in the state of Louisiana; or eligible for Louisiana licensure. At least three (3) years of clinical nursing experience. At least three {3) years of nurse educator experience; three (3) or more preferred. Must be able to pass a background check and shall meet the required standards defined by the University.</p> <ul> <li>Perform faculty responsibilities within a large nursing education department at Northwestern State University. </li><li>Support program expansion efforts in Shreveport and surrounding areas. </li><li>Teach assigned courses in a manner that promotes academic excellence and student engagement. </li><li>Provide instruction in areas of professional and clinical expertise. </li><li>Evaluate student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback. </li><li>Serve as a professional role model to students and peers. </li><li>Represent the university in a positive and professional manner. </li><li>Assist in maintaining records and documentation pertinent to the College of Nursing. </li><li>Uphold confidentiality regarding faculty, staff, and students in compliance with federal laws and university policies. </li><li>Participate in the development, evaluation, and revision of policies and procedures within the College of Nursing. </li><li>Attend College of Nursing and university functions, meetings, and assigned committee activities. </li><li>Maintain regular office hours and demonstrate reliable attendance. </li><li>Advise and mentor students during office hours and as needed. </li><li>Engage in activities that promote the College of Nursing, which may occur during evenings, weekends, or off-site. </li><li>Exhibit flexibility, collaboration, and a supportive attitude in all college and university-related activities. </li><li>Actively recruit students to programs within the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health. </li><li>Serve as a liaison between the College and other university departments, as well as local, state, and national agencies and organizations. </li><li>Ensure compliance with university, state, SACSCOC, ACEN, CCNE, and other regulatory or accreditation bodies. </li><li>Serve on college, university, or state-level committees or boards as appropriate. </li><li>Represent the College and University professionally at local, state, and national academic and professional forums. </li><li>Use a variety of evidence-based and appropriate teaching methods tailored to student needs and learning objectives. </li><li>Participate in the periodic review, development, and revision of course materials and reports. </li><li>Maintain professional competence through ongoing development, including pedagogy, research, grant writing, publications, and presentations. </li><li>Demonstrate a working knowledge of and commitment to the mission, goals, and values of the College of Nursing. </li></ul>
