<p>Duties</p> <p>TITLE: Elementary Instructional Coach</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Masters Degree in Education</p> </li><li> <p>Holds PEL license with endorsement in elementary education.</p> </li><li> <p>A minimum of five years of teaching experience (Elementary experience preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Working knowledge of differentiated instruction, student-centered learning and data analysis</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with designing integrated units of study aligned to Illinois Learning Standards</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with using technology embedded teaching strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with teaching and/or coaching adults. (Preferred)</p> </li></ol> <p>REPORTS TO: Building Principal</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Coaching, Collaboration, and Modeling</p> <ol> <li>Collaborates with school level instructional staff for instructional planning, co-teaching and </li></ol> <p>modeling strategies for effective teaching and learning. Develops the teacher's capacity to</p> <p>differentiate learning by modeling and coaching within the classroom.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Collaborates with curriculum area specialists, the Director of Elementary Curriculum and district </li></ol> <p>instructional coaches on curriculum selection and development.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Provides continuous, job-embedded professional development of District-supported, </li></ol> <p>research-based instructional methods and resources</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Provides differentiated support for teachers through guided conversations when setting </li></ol> <p>goals, co-planning, modeling, observing and reflecting</p> <ol start="5"> <li>Collaborates with teachers, PLCs, principals, curriculum director and other Instructional </li></ol> <p>Coaches to analyze data to guide instructional decisions</p> <ol start="6"> <li>Identifies technology integration competencies among instructional staff, in collaboration with </li></ol> <p>school administrators, and delivers appropriate coaching, training and resources to support</p> <p>professional growth of adult learners.</p> <p>Instruction/ Professional Development</p> <ol> <li>Engages in extensive professional development geared towards both coaching and </li></ol> <p>instructional methods aligned to the District's Strategic plan, and Building SIP plans, and</p> <p>teachers' professional goals</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Plans and facilitates professional learning opportunities based on the needs of the district, </li></ol> <p>school, and/or teachers</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Researches new technology integration techniques and resources and disseminates to instructional </li></ol> <p>staff.
