<p>Introduction</p> <p>THIS RECRUITMENT IS LIMITED TO CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF THE MDH OFFICE OF THE CHIEF MEDICAL EXAMINER (OCME) ONLY.\n\n</p> <p>GRADE</p> <p>11\n</p> <p>LOCATION OF POSITION</p> <p>MDH Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME)\n900 W. Baltimore Street\nBaltimore, MD 21223\n</p> <p>Main Purpose of Job</p> <p>The main purpose of this full-time position will be to maintain official statewide death investigation reporting records for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) by supporting agency operations and clerical employees with daily duties. This information is of such importance that it must be retained in perpetuity.\n</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education:?? Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.\nExperience: Four years of experience performing clerical duties.\nNotes: \n1. Additional experience performing clerical duties may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.\n2. Applicants may substitute education from an accredited college or university at the rate of thirty semester credit hours for one year of experience on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\n3. Six months clerical training with three courses in subjects such as keyboarding, clerical math, word processing, spreadsheets, database, graphics presentation, proofreading, or office etiquette may be substituted for six months of the required experience. \n4.?Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service?experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administration classifications or Administrative, Clerical or Office Services specialty codes in the Administrative Support field of work on a?year-for year basis for the required experience.\n\n</p> <p>DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>The desired candidate should possess:\n\n\n Experience with and/or knowledge of medical terminology (spelling and comprehension)\n Experience typing and/or transcribing vital information (necessary for autopsy reports and other related documents)\n Experience with office practices, procedures and equipment\n \n\n\n</p> <p>LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION</p> <p>THIS RECRUITMENT IS LIMITED TO CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF THE MDH OFFICE OF THE CHIEF MEDICAL EXAMINER (OCME) ONLY.\n\n</p> <p>SELECTION PROCESS</p> <p>Applicants who meet the minimum (and selective) qualifications will be included in further evaluation.
