<p>Seasonal Position ends September 2025</p> <p>Basic understanding of a kitchen operation within the hotel. Responsible for producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests' needs in a timely manner. Person has basic skills in department training and is capable of assuming department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef. Skills and knowledge to include culinary education, basic cost control understanding, basic communication, leadership skills and computer skills. May assist in monitoring payroll costs & overtime. Responsibilities include the supervising of hourly cooks.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and coordinate activities of line cooks, prep cooks, and kitchen stewards during assigned shifts. </li><li>Ensure all food preparation and presentation meets the property's quality standards and established recipes. </li><li>Monitor food production levels to maintain efficient operation and minimize waste. </li><li>Assist in the training and development of culinary team members, ensuring proper cooking techniques, plating standards, and food safety practices are followed. </li><li>Maintain effective communication between kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service. </li><li>Conduct daily line checks to ensure readiness and compliance with safety, sanitation, and food quality guidelines. </li><li>Assist in ordering, inventory, and proper storage of food products. </li><li>Enforce safety, hygiene, and sanitation policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. </li><li>Assist in creating prep lists and production schedules to ensure timely and efficient food preparation. </li><li>Provide feedback and coaching to team members to promote performance and career growth. </li><li>Assist with scheduling and labor management as needed. </li><li>Step in to perform cooking duties as required during high-volume or short-staffed periods. </li></ul> <p>The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing.
