On April 30, 2025, QXO completed its first acquisition: Beacon Building Products, a leading distributor in the sector.</p> <p>We are building a customer-focused, tech-enabled, and innovation-driven business that will scale rapidly through accretive M&A, organic growth, and greenfield expansion. Our strategy is rooted in delivering exceptional customer experiences, improving operational efficiency, and leveraging data, digital tools, and AI to modernize a historically under-digitized industry.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <p>The Senior Director, Finance will be responsible for the development of the North Division's financial reporting, planning and analysis strategy, and will contribute, as a key member of the leadership team to the development and execute on the organization's strategic goals. This role will directly support and partner with the President - North Division, the North Division leadership team, and the QXO Finance organization. This role is responsible for developing and communicating actionable financial insights and improving key performance indicators (KPI's) to drive shareholder value. This position is also responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and improving financial acumen throughout the business. This role will serve as a key business partner, providing subject matter expertise and direction for the business on all financial issues.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Collaborative Business Partner</p> <ul> <li>Partner with the North Division leadership team to support the business's strategic goals to drive shareholder value </li><li>Identify areas of opportunity and develop/present execution plans of such initiatives </li><li>Collaborate with the field leadership team to determine the most effective use of capital expenditure funding </li></ul> <p>Financial Reporting, Planning, and Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and ad hoc analyses </li><li>Enhance management reports, dashboards, and KPI's to improve actionable insights </li><li>Support the monthly forecasting process that allows leadership to understand where the business is headed and assess the key risks and opportunities </li><li>Engage with the North Division leadership team and QXO Finance team to develop the annual budget </li><li>Support QXO's above-market growth initiatives (i.e., greenfields, M&A), including pro forma modeling, due diligence activities, and financial integration of new acquisitions </li></ul> <p>Compliance and Controls</p> <ul> <li>Ensure the business is reporting accurate financial results and is compliant on all controls </li><li>Continue to develop strong financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting tools </li><li>Support the internal and external audit teams with their engagements </li><li>Promote and continue to train business leaders on the importance of compliance with policies, controls, and procedures </li></ul> <p>Team Leadership and Development</p> <ul> <li>Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing finance team </li><li>Develop team members into valued business partners who are encouraged to speak up to drive the business's strategic goals forward </li><li>Promote a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork </li><li>Improve financial acumen at all levels of the business </li></ul> <p>What you'll bring:</p> <p>As the Senior Director, Finance, the right individual must display initiative, passion, a strong work ethic, and the ability to lead, plan and manage change. The right candidate must also possess excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. It will also be vital for this role to be able to function effectively, exert influence and gain consensus at all organizational levels. The right candidate must also have solid organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or accounting with MBA and/or CPA preferred </li><li>10+ years of financial reporting and analysis experience, preferably 5+ years leading financial reporting and analysis for a publicly traded company </li><li>Distribution, building products, or multi-location retail experience preferred </li><li>Proven experience leading, developing, and managing a strategic finance function, with full financial management responsibility including oversight of budget, forecasting, financial reporting, best practice controls and processes, investments, and risk mitigation </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization and to align and coordinate with peers across the organization </li><li>Proven team management, project management, and change management skills </li><li>Ability to set and meet high standards of service and to develop a team that embraces a culture of quality, service, and safety </li><li>Personal integrity and exemplary ethical standards with a strong commitment to achieving a high level of personal and organizational success </li><li>Tolerance for and the ability to perform in stressful and ambiguous situations </li><li>Strong business acumen and the ability to add strategic value at the leadership table </li><li>Ability to interpret and administer policies and procedures consistently and objectively </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills </li><li>Strong ability to work in a fast-changing environment, see through complexity </li><li>Willing to travel up to 50% </li></ul> <p>What you'll earn</p> <ul> <li>401(k) with employer match </li><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance </li><li>PTO, company holidays, and parental leave </li><li>Paid training and certifications </li><li>Legal assistance and identity protection </li><li>Pet insurance </li><li>Employee assistance program (EAP) </li></ul> <p>QXO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
