<p>Overview</p> <p>This hybrid position will be located at our Corporate Office in St. Petersburg, FL. Expectations for hybrid in-office schedule is three days a week, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.</p> <p>Foot Locker, Inc. is hiring an Associate Buyer to join our team! The Associate Buyer is responsible for assisting the Buyer with the overall merchandising direction of a category or department(s) with the goal of meeting and exceeding sales and margin targets. Building a business that creates trend-setting buzz by incorporating consumer insights, business analytics, and competitive intelligence is needed for you to deliver in this role. This position will assist the Buyer with purchases and the negotiation of merchandise with vendors; partner with Merchandise Planners to develop financial strategies that maximize business opportunities; and work closely with the Merchandising, Marketing, and Store Optimization teams while focusing on our target demographic to provide a rich customer experience supported by best-in-class product assortments.</p> <p>Corporate Office - St. Petersburg</p> <p>140 Fountain Parkway</p> <p>St. Petersburg, Florida 33716</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The Associate Buyer will assist the Buyer(s) with:</p> <ul> <li>Developing an overall product strategy that maximizes sales, gross margin, and turn </li><li>Partnering with the E-commerce team to deliver strong performance via the Digital channel </li><li>Collaborating with Marketing to develop rich, product-driven, consumer-centric storytelling </li><li>Working with the Financial Planner to ensure all buys achieve optimized metrics </li><li>Prepping information for all recapping, seasonal planning, and open-to-buy meetings </li><li>Building bottom-up product assortments based on business results and marketplace trends </li><li>Analyzing reports in tandem with Merchandisers for store-level opportunities and liabilities </li><li>Managing a product feature calendar and all sample flow in support of marketing efforts </li><li>Tracking all inbound product from vendor shipment to in-store delivery </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred in applicable field </li><li>A minimum of 2 years' experience in retail and/or e-commerce merchandising is required </li><li>Proficiency in software applications: Excel, Word and PowerPoint </li><li>Knowledge of Power BI or similar systems preferred </li><li>Knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft or similar assortment tools preferred </li><li>Demonstrated understanding of our product, customer, marketplace, and fashion trends </li><li>Ability to present and communicate clearly with management, peers and business partners </li><li>Strong financial acumen and naturally analytical </li><li>Ability to be detailed and organized while multi-tasking and prioritizing tight deadlines </li><li>Creative and strategic thinker </li><li>~10% travel expectations </li></ul> <p>#LI-JJ1</p> <p>#LI-HYBRID</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The annual base salary range is $75000 - $80000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
