For more information contact the Human Resources Recruitment office at 361-826-3296 to obtain Form SSA-1945 Windfall Elimination Provision.</p> <p>Grade: 104</p> <p>Salary: $9.53 (Hourly)</p> <p>Department: Parks and Recreation</p> <p>E-mail: yvonned@cctexas.com</p> <p>ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating, 20 hour work week. Typical hours will be Monday - Friday, 3pm - 7pm, but could include other hours and weekends.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Responsible for working within a recreation center with adults and children. Must be responsible and promote teamwork and continuous improvement. Must be able to plan, organize, and direct a variety of recreational activities. Must be able to respond to and resolve complaints by internal and external customers. Assist general public regarding questions, comments or concerns, and alert supervisors of such situations. Assist with facility clean up. Prepare verbal and written reports for supervisors by using a personal computer. Maintain discipline, order and crowd control at site by maintaining view of children and surroundings, ensuring proper ratio of children to staff, and addressing discipline in a positive and consistent manner. Applies CPR and First Aid when necessary. Maintain professional and technical knowledge and skills by keeping required license/certification current. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Requires a High School Diploma or GED. Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification prior to job assignment. A valid driver's license is preferred at time of application and hire. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.</p> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Basis of Rating</p> <p>One on one interview.</p> <p>Closing Statement</p> <p>Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test. Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi. In the event of an emergency, employees are required to work to provide for the safety and well-being of the general public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services. This position is classified as "Safety Sensitive".
