The company has more than 60 locations through which it distributes products, equipment and chemicals, and provides customers with other value-added services including equipment repair, equipment rental and education.</p> <p>The Supply Chain Expeditor's main responsibility is to facilitate and expedite the movement of goods and information throughout the supply chain and plays a pivotal role in optimizing the production and delivery processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products to meet customer demands.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Order Tracking and Coordination:</p> <ul> <li>Monitor and track (inbound?) orders from placement to delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. </li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders, including -but not limited to- suppliers, internal buyers, and logistics partners, to coordinate the smooth flow of materials and information. </li><li>Updates PO's to reflect promised date changes, unit cuts, as communicated by suppliers. </li></ul> <p>Communication and Information Management:</p> <ul> <li>Act as a central point of contact for all parties involved in the supply chain, providing updates on order status, production schedules, and potential delays. </li><li>Efficiently communicate changes or issues that may impact the supply chain timeline and work collaboratively to find solutions. </li><li>Generate reports on procurement metrics, such as order lead times, delivery performance, and supplier relationships. </li><li>Create and maintain supplier scorecards for main suppliers. </li></ul> <p>Problem Resolution:</p> <ul> <li>Proactively identify potential bottlenecks or issues in the supply chain and take prompt action to resolve them. </li><li>Collaborate with relevant departments to address production delays, transportation issues, or quality concerns. </li><li>Assist in reviewing and reconciling supplier invoices against purchase orders, resolving discrepancies as needed. </li></ul> <p>Supplier Relationship Management:</p> <ul> <li>Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady and reliable supply of materials. </li></ul> <p>Continuous Improvement:</p> <ul> <li>Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, seeking ways to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and enhance overall supply chain performance. </li><li>Provide administrative support to the procurement team, including organizing meetings, preparing presentations, and managing documentation. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/ Skills</p> <p>Qualifications and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. </li><li>Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools. </li></ul> <p>Conclusion: The Supply Chain Expeditor plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless and efficient flow of materials and information throughout the supply chain.
