<p>JOB TITLE: Checker</p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION:</p> <ul> <li>Provide a high level friendly greeting to all guest exiting the store </li><li>Verify receipt for purchases and if receipt is missing, suggest to customer/employee to pay for item if merchandise was not paid for. Notify management of all such incidents. </li><li>Notifies management and Loss Prevention of any of the following: vandalism, robbery, fires, shoplifting, pickpockets, soliciting, loitering, and violent crimes </li><li>Perform bag checks on all employees as they depart store at the front door </li><li>Maintains a position of visibility at the front of the store by the exit doors at all times. </li><li>Assist in protecting company property against theft </li><li>Assist management with reducing and preventing shrink </li><li>Observes and reports to management any suspicious persons or behavior </li><li>Able to serve as a witness during apprehensions of internal and external theft </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to stand/walk sales floor for entire shift </li></ul> <p>COMPETENCIES:</p> <ul> <li>Integrity </li><li>Judgment and decision-making skills </li><li>Independence </li><li>Resourcefulness </li><li>Team Player </li></ul>
