<p>Class A Driver Yard/Plant</p> <p>#32606</p> <p>Location: New Britain, CT</p> <p>Company: Garelick Farms</p> <p>Category: Supply Chain and Logistics</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Job Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform trailer movement according to prioritization to optimize plant or warehouse efficiencies and production needs </li><li>Hook, unhook and move trucks to and from the service department and around dock area </li><li>Spot or position loaded and unloaded trailers at assigned dock space for unloading or loading </li><li>Connect loaded semitrailers to tractors for the drivers </li><li>Maintain accurate trailer and inventory movement log </li><li>Follow steps to ensure proper operation and perform periodic preventive maintenance including pre and post trip inspections of equipment in the area </li><li>Perform duties required to ensure that assigned area is sanitary and clean </li><li>Wash exterior of trucks and trailers if appropriate for yard location </li><li>Complete sales route deliveries and/or over-the-road routes, as needed </li><li>Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity and accidents and injuries </li><li>Attend all driver workshops and training sessions </li><li>The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>Tractor/trailer experience, within the last five years preferred </li><li>Must meet minimum age requirements </li><li>Meet all DOT requirements </li><li>Meet Dairy Farmers of America Motor Vehicle Record requirements </li><li>Certification and/or License - Current CDL (Class A) license in state of residence; current tanker endorsement if needed </li></ul> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans</p>
