We will train you!</p> <p>Mitigation Technician - Restoration</p> <p>The Mitigation Technician is an expert in the property restoration industry, primarily responsible for responding to emergency and urgent property damage at our customers' homes nad businesses. Our team helps the customer recover from a property loss with skill, knowledge, and professionalism while working safely.</p> <p>$20.00 - $25.00 per hour (+ overtime opportunities and on-call bonus)</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental, Vision & 401(k) benefits </li><li>Paid Holiday, Vacation & Sick Days </li><li>Cell Phone Allowance </li><li>Advancement Opportunities </li><li>Paid Training and Certification for IICRC WRT, IIRC FRST & NYS Mold Abatement </li></ul> <p>Applicants with relevant experience and IICRC certifications may be able to start immediately as a Senior Mitigation Technician, with higher pay.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITES:</p> <ul> <li>Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and/or mold </li><li>Assess and document damage within the property </li><li>Evaluate and record damage to all items within the property </li><li>Demolition of structural damage to properties, utilizing hand and power tools </li><li>Perform initial site inspections </li><li>Monitor and document site conditions </li><li>Deploy restoration equipment according to industry and company guidelines </li><li>Complete assigned tasks and take notes in our primary software system (RMS) </li><li>Take photos of jobs assigned at start, completion, and throughout the process </li></ul> <p>Competency - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent customer service skills </li><li>Ability to participate in an on-call schedule </li><li>Comfort with technology (Smartphone, iPad, computer) </li><li>Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems: RMS, Xactimate, Mitigate, and additional systems, as requested </li><li>Ability to document work by taking photos and detailed notes </li><li>Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face </li><li>Ability to work independently and / or with a team </li><li>Ability to work within hazardous environments safely </li><li>Ability to operate a company vehicle safely </li><li>Maintain a level of confidentiality </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Customer Service experience </li><li>1 plus year experience in a craft, trade, or manual labor position, or equivalent schooling </li><li>Current IICRC certifications are a plus </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirement</p> <ul> <li>Constantly move about job sites; stairs, walkways, roofs, crawl spaces </li><li>Occasionally requires a ladder to complete jobs </li><li>Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to face </li><li>Frequently will lift up to 60lbs </li><li>Ability to safely operate a company vehicle </li></ul> <p>Make an impact now: Paul Davis is proud of our 56-year legacy of serving people in their time of need.
