<p>Job Description</p> <p>We seek a meticulous and detail-oriented Copy Editor/Writer to join our dynamic marketing team at Ctransit. The perfect candidate will review and edit a wide range of marketing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to the agency's brand standards. The candidate should also be able to craft compelling and informative content across various marketing materials, including websites, social media, brochures, advertisements, press releases, and other relevant platforms. This diverse range of tasks will keep you engaged and excited as a Copy Editor/Writer.</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <ul> <li>Review and edit marketing materials, including website content, brochures, advertisements, press releases, and other promotional materials. </li><li>Ensure content is free of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style errors. </li><li>Research and verify facts, statistics, and references to ensure accuracy and credibility. </li><li>Collaborate with writers, designers, and other team members to maintain a consistent voice and style across all materials. </li><li>Assist in developing a brand style guide and ensure all content aligns with the agency's messaging and goals. </li><li>Assist in writing clear, compelling, and creative copy for a variety of marketing materials </li><li>Conduct research to stay informed about industry trends and best practices. </li><li>Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. </li><li>Assist with content creation for email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and other forms of communication. </li><li>Must be able to meet deadlines. </li><li>Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. </li><li>Works cooperatively with all levels of personnel. </li><li>Attends in-service training, seminars or other opportunities for professional development as made available by CTtransit, and/or as assigned by Management. </li><li>Remain flexible to provide support on nights, weekends, holidays & during emergencies to support our 24/7/365 operation. May be subject to night and/or weekend work based on the organization's business needs. </li><li>Travel and provide support to other departments and divisions with HR, Finance and other administrative technology related functions as assigned. </li><li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree with major course work in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or a closely related field and one (1) year of relevant work experience is required. </li><li>An equivalent combination of education, course work and work experience on a year for year basis can be substituted for the 4-year degree requirement. </li><li>Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. </li><li>Strong attention to detail. </li><li>Proficient experience with MS 365, Office, Adobe Creative Suite. </li><li>Knowledge of SEO best practices and digital marketing trends. </li><li>Experienced with AP Style and other style guides. </li><li>Experience working in the public transportation or urban planning industry is a plus. </li><li>Ability to work independently and accurately in a high-paced, deadline-oriented environment. </li><li>Excellent self-management, communication, and team-based participation. </li><li>The ability to prioritize projects and have excellent communication (especially verbal), interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy. </li><li>Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, in a fast-paced environment, to multitask, work for multiple managers. </li><li>Customer-focused and capable of relating well at all levels of the organization. </li><li>A valid drivers' license is required.
