<p>BWC's core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC's seven offices across the state. BWC offers flex-time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00am or as late as 8:30am. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing:</p> <ul> <li>Analyzes and updates Ohio Safety Council Program operations, policies, and procedures; provides technical guidance to support informed decision making. </li><li>Implements program policies; responds to inquiries and complaints; exercises delegated authority to assist in resolving complex issues. </li><li>Develops, coordinates, and delivers training for safety council sponsors and internal staff via in-person and virtual platforms. </li><li>Supports fiscal functions by monitoring expenditures, assisting with audits, and coordinating subsidy and rebate distribution in collaboration with internal departments. </li><li>Coordinates sponsor activities including compliance monitoring, attendance tracking, and engagement through outreach and communications. </li><li>Represents the agency at safety council meetings and public forums, preparing and delivering presentations on program initiates and safety related topics. </li></ul> <p>To Qualify, You Must Clearly Demonstrate:</p> <p>Required Experience and/or Education</p> <ul> <li>4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration. </li><li>Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration AND 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position. </li><li>Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file AND 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development. </li><li>Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122. </li><li>Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above </li></ul> <p>Job Skills: Program Management</p> <p>Professional Skills: Analyzation, Attention to Detail, Critical Thinking, Confidentiality, Problem Solving</p> <p>Major Worker Characteristics:</p> <p>Knowledge of Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC)*, state &/or federal statutes, rules, regulations & procedures applicable to investigations; policy development/implementation; public relations; interviewing, case preparation; human relations; Ohio Ethics Law, Federal, state, and agency EEO laws/regulations/policies.</p> <p>Skill in operation of personal computer; database & spreadsheet software.</p> <p>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions; gather, collate, classify information about data, people or things; prepare meaningful, concise & accurate reports; conduct interviews effectively; assess immediate situations &; handle sensitive inquiries from & contacts with officials & general public; recognize unusual or threatening conditions & report appropriately; comprehend & record figures accurately; add, subtract, multiply & divide whole numbers; calculate fractions, decimals & percentages; understand manuals & verbal instructions, technical in nature; use proper research methods in gathering data; maintain confidentiality.</p> <p>(*) Developed after employment.</p>
