<p>Commercial Strategy Engineer - Aftermarket Parts Pricing</p> <p>Location: Orlando, FL</p> <p>Pay Range: $110,000 ? $140,000</p> <p>Alphanumeric is hiring a Commercial Strategy Engineer to join an environmentally focused energy innovator committed to building a cleaner, more sustainable future. This role plays a critical part in shaping the pricing strategy for the company's Power Parts business, partnering cross-functionally to drive margin growth, improve profitability, and implement scalable pricing methodologies.</p> <p>This is a strategic, analytical position requiring deep understanding of pricing models, product line profitability, customer segmentation, and ERP-based pricing management. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen, the ability to interpret technical product data, and proven experience influencing pricing direction across multiple business units.</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>The Commercial Strategy Engineer serves as the central coordinator for all Parts Pricing activities. You will develop and maintain pricing strategies, collaborate with Product Line leaders and PGS teams (Sales, Commercial Operations, Service Operations, Service Execution), analyze market intelligence, and drive repeatable pricing frameworks that align with customer and product segmentation. This role requires regular interaction with cross-functional teams and provides high visibility across the organization.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <p>Strategic Pricing Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the pricing lead for the Power Parts business, enabling effective pricing strategies across Sales, Commercial Operations, Service Operations, and Service Execution. </li><li>Develop, improve, and implement pricing strategies based on customer segmentation, behavior, competitiveness, and product line profitability. </li><li>Define and maintain scalable pricing methodologies across the matrix of products and customer types. </li><li>Lead margin enhancement initiatives through price retention, escalation rules, and cost-based controls. </li><li>Establish annual pricing strategies, reviews, and governance in collaboration with the pricing team. </li></ul> <p>Pricing Execution & Infrastructure</p> <ul> <li>Partner with Commercial Operations to collect, analyze, and interpret market pricing trends, historical pricing, competitor intelligence, and win/loss ratios. </li><li>Coordinate creation and management of Standard Pricing and Customer-Specific Pricing within ERP systems. </li><li>Ensure all material pricing in ERP is accurately recorded, reviewed, and optimized for consistency across similar commodities. </li><li>Work with cross-functional teams to develop pricing-related infrastructure within ERP and CRM platforms. </li></ul> <p>Financial & Technical Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Conduct detailed analyses of cost, margin, and profitability by product or transaction type. </li><li>Perform parts estimation (cost, price, lead time) using technical drawings, historical data, market insight, and specifications. </li><li>Track estimation accuracy and adjust pricing post-estimation based on actual costs. </li><li>Support pricing decisions for customer-specific or contract-specific programs and ensure correct capture in ERP. </li></ul> <p>Communication, Reporting & Training</p> <ul> <li>Implement pricing reporting capabilities and monitor operational pricing metrics. </li><li>Communicate pricing strategy, project updates, barriers, and outcomes across all levels of the organization. </li><li>Lead Parts Pricing training sessions to educate teams on pricing methodologies, tools, and optimization opportunities. </li><li>Develop and document processes, procedures, and work instructions for pricing operations. </li><li>Provide strategic input for deal-specific pricing decisions. </li></ul> <p>General & Cross-Functional Support</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate data exchanges with other business units affecting pricing and product profitability. </li><li>Participate in continuous improvement efforts across collaboration, reporting, accuracy, and lead times. </li><li>Travel up to 10% (domestic and international) as needed. </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Other Duties & Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Utilize and maintain systems of record with high accuracy. </li><li>Comply with safety standards and report unsafe conditions immediately. </li><li>Demonstrate strong change-management capability and influence across the organization. </li><li>Foster teamwork, positive culture, and open communication. </li></ul>
