The fellow evaluates patients' psychotherapeutic needs, performs psychological testing and provides psychotherapy for outpatient populations as indicated. This position will be split between the Hamilton and East Brunswick outpatient locations.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>PhD, PsyD or EdD </li><li>New Jersey Psychologist permit holder </li><li>AHA BLS Provider Certification </li><li>Ability to relate therapeutically with the professional team, children, adolescents and their parents or significant other </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Related Fellowship and or internship experience </li><li>Experience in cognitive behavioral modification </li><li>Experience working with children and teens on the Autism Spectrum </li></ul> <p>Certifications and Licenses Required:</p> <ul> <li>New Jersey Psychologist permit holder </li><li>AHA BLS Provider Certification </li></ul> <p>Scheduling Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Full Time </li><li>40 hours/week </li><li>Flexibility in work hours </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Performs complete psychodiagnostic evaluations as indicated </li><li>Disseminates findings accurately and sensitively, and according to Department policy </li><li>Provides effective individual, family, group psychotherapy as indicated </li><li>Identifies realistic goals for psychotherapy </li><li>Attends program development and case conferences as indicated for patients treated or evaluated </li><li>Provides effective team consultation as needed, </li><li>Displays competency in obtaining and interpreting the parents behavior based upon an understanding of cognitive, biopsychosocial and aging processes </li><li>Displays an understanding of the developmental needs of the patient when planning and implementing treatment </li><li>Meet minimum annual expected volumes </li><li>Flexibility, both in work hours and in performance of duties </li></ul> <p>Other Duties:</p> <p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
