<p>Job Title Student Employee Special Instructions to Applicants</p> <p>Please attach a current resume.</p> <p>Posting Number 20161636STD Job Description</p> <p>Student Technical Support Assistant (Dublin Campus)</p> <p>The Ohio University Dublin College of Health Sciences and Professions is seeking an additional Technical Support Assistants at our Dublin Integrated Education Center to provide technical, event and general office support. This position does not allow for remote work. You must be currently enrolled in college to be eligible for this position.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Receive and respond to calls and emails regarding technology and classroom needs </li><li>Provide classroom technology/equipment support (projectors, PCs, smart boards) </li><li>Provide high quality customer service to faculty, staff, students, and guests of Ohio University. </li><li>Provide basic troubleshooting, diagnose problems, implement corrective action, or escalate to other technical resources as appropriate. </li><li>Assist students, faculty, staff, students, and customers with connecting to and using resources (Wi-Fi, classroom equipment, etc.) </li><li>Clean and maintain equipment as necessary </li><li>Set-up and tear down of all event spaces including conference rooms, classrooms, and programming spaces. </li><li>This role also provides general office support including but not limited to: answering the telephone and greeting visitors; filing; printing/copying; and providing front desk coverage. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge and proficiency with standard Windows operating systems and applications (Windows 10, Microsoft Office - including OneDrive and Teams) </li><li>Familiarity with Mac OSX, iOS, and Android OS a plus </li><li>Familiarity with wireless network connections </li><li>Knowledge of basic computer software and hardware troubleshooting </li><li>Ability to work well independently and as a member of the team </li><li>Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical concepts </li><li>Ability to prioritize and execute tasks </li><li>A strong desire to learn </li><li>Strong analytical skills </li><li>Knowledge of Zoom and Teams video conferencing a plus </li><li>Demonstrates a professional approach in working with faculty and staff </li><li>Excellent customer service skills </li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills </li><li>Students are required to have a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 with a preferred 2.75 G.P.A. </li></ul> <p>Students are able to work up to 25 hours per week but should be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible and will work with the students' academic schedule, though evening and weekend hours may be required. Preference will be given to students able to work the entire academic year and summer. However, students with seasonal availability will still be considered.</p> <p>Pay range is $15/hr.
