<p>Job Details</p> <p>Level: Experienced</p> <p>Job Location: The Saint Paul Hotel - Saint Paul, MN</p> <p>Position Type: Any</p> <p>Education Level: None</p> <p>Salary Range: $18.57 - $19.51 Hourly</p> <p>Job Shift: Varies, includes Weekends & Holidays</p> <p>Job Category: Restaurant, Food and Beverage</p> <p>Description</p> <p>This position has primary responsibilities including greeting guests; making suggestions regarding food and beverages; taking and delivering orders; answering questions or concerns; monitoring guest alcohol consumption; setting and breaking down room service areas; maintaining accurate guest cover counts; and collecting payment for all food and beverages served.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Greets guests; takes orders; serves food and beverages; collect payments. </li><li>Thoroughly knowledgeable on the menu, daily specials, and beverages. </li><li>Enters orders into Point-of-Sale System, maintains accurate guests cover counts, totals receipts correctly, verifies sales, and collects payment for all food and beverages served. </li><li>Requests proper identification from guests purchasing alcoholic beverages when legal age is questionable (under the age of 30). </li><li>Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the room service kitchen and service area. Stocks/replenishes an adequate supply of product and equipment. Removes trash, sweeps, and mops floors. </li><li>Complies with company, local, state, and national regulations pertaining to food quality, cleanliness and sanitation standards, alcohol service, and safety. </li><li>Completes all other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>1-year related experience in a high-volume, high energy, food and beverage environment. </li><li>Availability to work nights and weekends. </li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to position self to move about. </li><li>The employee frequently is required to operate and use server station tools and equipment; and communicate with guests, employees, and management. </li><li>The employee must move up to 30 pounds frequently. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Alcohol service certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. </li></ul> <p>Union Position Benefits (working 20+hours per week):</p> <ul> <li>Training opportunities </li><li>Paid breaks </li><li>Free meal per shift </li><li>Uniforms </li><li>Maternity leave </li><li>Child care leave </li><li>PTO after 90 days of service </li><li>Health and welfare </li><li>Pension </li><li>401k </li></ul> <p>About The Saint Paul Hotel</p> <p>The Saint Paul Hotel is regarded as one of the country's premier hotels.
