<p>Job Description</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Responsible for administering diagnostic and habilitative/ rehabilitative services to patients referred for services and maintaining records pertinent to such services. Observes, evaluates and documents diagnostic and treatment effects. Consults with supervisor on all pertinent matters for program and professional development (i.e. research projects, expansion of programs, record keeping, policies and procedures, etc.). Will also be involved in team dynamics and participate in interdisciplinary activities when appropriate.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology OR Master's degree in Communication Science and Disorders is required.</p> <p>Current Speech Language Pathology License issued by NCBOESLPA is required.</p> <p>Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology awarded by ASHA is required, or must be obtained within one year of hire.</p> <p>Progressive and dynamic knowledge of Speech Language Pathology and a willingness to participate in continuing education and training to remain current in the field. Ability to work with other healthcare professionals in a manner that will ensure continued cooperative efforts.</p> <p>Preferred Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience in a medically based Speech Language Pathology setting </li><li>Prior direct patient care experience with medically complex patients </li><li>Prior direct patient care experience with trachs/vents and instrumental swallowing evaluation techniques </li><li>Prior direct experience with application of evidence based evaluation/treatment techniques and modalities </li></ul> <p>ECU Health</p> <p>About ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital</p> <p>ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital is a full-service, 117-bed acute care facility where residents of Tarboro and the surrounding communities can receive a wide range of health services close to home.
