<p>We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Aggregate Sand & Gravel Foreman to lead and manage our team in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. If you have a passion for leading teams and optimizing operations, this is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact at a key production site.</p> <p>As the Sand & Gravel Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of daily aggregate operations, ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective production of high-quality materials. Your leadership will drive productivity, maintain compliance, and foster the professional growth of your team.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Leadership & Team Management</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead, train, and mentor production crews to align with daily production goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Set clear expectations focused on safety, efficiency, and quality.</p> </li><li> <p>Build a collaborative, accountable, high-performance team culture.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide hands-on leadership by being visible in pit and plant operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Support employee development through training, cross-training, and coaching.</p> </li></ul> <p>Production Operations</p> <ul> <li> <p>Direct and coordinate daily sand and gravel production schedules to meet customer demand.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor material flow, stockpiles, and output to ensure consistent supply.</p> </li><li> <p>Adjust operations as needed to achieve targets and eliminate bottlenecks.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure smooth coordination between pit, plant, and loadout activities.</p> </li></ul> <p>Equipment & Troubleshooting</p> <ul> <li> <p>Oversee safe and efficient operation of loaders, haul trucks, dredges, screens, and crushers.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and resolve equipment issues in coordination with maintenance teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor equipment condition to reduce downtime and extend asset life.</p> </li></ul> <p>Process Improvement & Efficiency</p> <ul> <li> <p>Evaluate production processes to identify improvement opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement strategies to reduce waste, maximize yield, and optimize resource use.</p> </li><li> <p>Track key performance indicators (KPI's) to measure productivity and efficiency.</p> </li><li> <p>Support lean operational practices and cost-control initiatives.</p> </li></ul> <p>Quality Control & Compliance</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ensure all production meets customer specifications and quality standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor materials for gradation and consistency.</p> </li><li> <p>Enforce safety procedures in compliance with MSHA and environmental regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Promote sustainable practices in pit and plant operations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Communication & Coordination</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintain strong communication with superintendents, foremen, and maintenance staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide regular updates on production performance, challenges, and needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate across departments to align on operational goals and priorities.</p> </li></ul> <p>Continuous Improvement</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead initiatives to implement new technologies, tools, and best practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Encourage employee feedback and innovation to improve efficiency and safety.</p> </li><li> <p>Drive a culture of continuous improvement in operations, quality, and workforce development.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in sand and gravel production or surface mining operations.</p> </li><li> <p>2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role within aggregates or mining preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong operational knowledge of sand & gravel production equipment and processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven track record of meeting production goals and improving efficiency.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with MSHA safety standards and regulatory compliance.</p> </li><li> <p>Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office; JD Edwards One World a plus).</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to obtain or currently possess a Foreman's License.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.</p> </li></ul>
