We're delighted you're considering joining us!</p> <p>INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW/HOURS/LENGTH</p> <p>Starting in January with a minimum of 15 hours per week, transitioning to a full time permanent employee upon graduation in June 2026.</p> <p>We're seeking a Financial Accountant Intern who will begin their training in the Spring semester, onsite 1 day per week required at the Madison, WI headquarters with remote work available the rest of the week.</p> <p>This internship is a great opportunity to develop technical skills, gain exposure to financial reporting, and learn from experienced professionals in a publicly traded company.</p> <p>Specifically, as a Financial Accountant Intern:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting with month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks in compliance with established controls. </li><li>Preparing journal entries and helping with general ledger reconciliations while learning how to analyze financial results and investigate variances </li><li>Helping compile financial statements and analysis reports, and contributing to tasks related to SEC and regulatory filings. </li><li>Learning to create and automate financial reports using our general ledger and management reporting systems. </li><li>Supporting responses to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data to provide valuable insights to decision-makers. </li><li>Assisting with accounts payable processes, including coding invoices, obtaining approvals, scanning for electronic storage, and helping with check disbursement and vendor communications. </li></ul> <p>The successful candidate should have:</p> <ul> <li>Intermediate accounting class required. </li><li>Interest in full-time employment starting June 2026 </li><li>Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred. Business degree considered with relevant accounting classes considered </li><li>Interest in obtaining CPA designation preferred </li><li>Strong knowledge of technology, business computer applications, and ability to pick up on new systems quickly </li><li>Strong personal drive and initiative, demonstrated work ethic, and ability to work as a team </li><li>Ability to work independently and use independent judgment with minimal supervision </li><li>Ability to handle pressure of meeting deadlines </li></ul>
