<p>Reports to: Branch Parts Manager</p> <p>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE</p> <p>The individual in this position applies basic skills and procedures appropriate for the position within assigned, functional area. Duties and tasks are varied. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Mechanical background is helpful but not mandatory.</p> <p>DUTIES & TASKS</p> <ul> <li>Assisting customer at the front counter, answering incoming calls and attending to parts orders and or problems. This includes locating the desired part in a wide variety of parts books, both on-line with vendors and in-house resource books. </li><li>Work closely with Product Support Representatives and assist them in parts orders for customers. </li><li>Diplomatically handles customers' complaints in a friendly, pleasing and personal manner. </li><li>Loads, unloads and moves materials within or near warehouse plant or worksite. </li><li>Examines goods shipped and verifies completeness of shipments against bill of lading, invoices, and other records. </li><li>Keep a "Quick Reference" guide for all common parts; this helps aid in assisting customers as quickly and efficiently as possible. </li><li>Enter all parts orders into the system. This includes organizing all backordered parts and arranging the desired shipping logistics. </li><li>Route incoming shipments/goods to respective departments. </li><li>Counts and compares quantity and identification numbers of units against order. </li><li>Reads work order or follows oral instructions </li><li>Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or fork lift </li><li>Prepares products for shipment </li><li>Prepares identifying information/ shipping instructions on containers </li><li>Pulls stock order </li><li>Assist in any parts needs the service department may have and provide support whenever needed. </li><li>Pull parts for customers when needed. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by the parts manager. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <ul> <li>This position regularly requires stooping, pushing, moving, and reaching overhead </li><li>Ability to lift up to 60+ lbs. </li><li>Working outdoors in various climates, temperatures, and environments </li><li>This position is regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles and moderate noise levels </li><li>McClung-Logan Equipment Co. is defined as an essential business. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma, Trade School or previous experience preferred </li><li>Current driver's license and acceptable MVR </li><li>Must be able to successfully hold certifications for MSHA, Forklift, First Aid/ CPR, etc. </li><li>Ability to operate a forklift.
