You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life.</p> <p>The Process Technician is primarily responsible for setting up and maintaining automated molding equipment and providing technical support to commercial press molding.</p> <p>In this role, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Disassemble, clean and reassemble material handling equipment in a thorough and timely manner. </li><li>Supply clean IPA used for cleaning to various departments. </li><li>Maintain disposable equipment inventory levels using the Kanban system </li><li>Prepare and label solvent hazardous waste for disposal. </li><li>Follow procedures for safe handling of flammable solvents. </li><li>Assemble material handling equipment. </li><li>Accurately record data on routers, QAD and other ERP systems used. </li><li>Perform set-up of molding equipment on Vesta presses. </li><li>Diagnose/troubleshoot processing issues on Vesta presses </li><li>Provide technical support to daily production activities utilizing Vesta presses. </li><li>Set-up and maintain manual secondary cutting and punching fixtures. </li><li>Set-up and maintain automated cutting and punching equipment. </li><li>Diagnose/troubleshoot vision inspection camera issues. </li><li>Perform set-up of molding equipment on commercial presses. </li><li>Diagnose/troubleshoot and repair material delivery systems. </li><li>Diagnose/troubleshoot processing issues on Commercial presses </li><li>Ability to wire heaters in parallel or series. </li><li>Disassemble, clean and re-assemble cold runner systems. </li><li>Set-up and maintain part handling automation equipment. </li><li>Replace intricate mold components. </li><li>Inspect, review and score mold conditions. </li><li>Execute established molding DOEs. </li><li>Balance a multi-drop cold runner utilizing sequential valve gates. </li><li>Understand and follow SOPs pertaining to your area. </li><li>Understand and follow Work Instructions pertaining to your area. </li><li>Maintain Safety, Quality, Productivity, scrap, rework, utilization, and efficiency </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li><li>Observe and promote Company standards and policies on safety, quality and productivity. </li><li>Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in medical device and clean room environment </li><li>Support and observe 5S and other lean manufacturing methodologies. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success</p> <ul> <li>Successful completion of four-years of high school, or equivalent is required. </li><li>3+ years of experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. </li><li>Experience performing mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics or pneumatic systems repair (preferred). </li><li>Basic understanding of Preventative Maintenance Programs and 5S principles </li><li>Medical Device manufacturing and clean room environment experience is desired </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications that Drive you Forward</p> <ul> <li>Excellent (written and verbal) communication and effective human interaction skills. </li><li>Flexible to change and possess a high degree level of integrity and "can do attitude". </li><li>Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals </li><li>Able to convert units of measurement, add, subtract multiplication and division. </li><li>Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner. </li><li>Proficient in basic hand tools i.e. adjustable wrench, Allen keys, screwdrivers, ratchet and sockets </li></ul> <p>Your Work Environment</p> <p>At Lubrizol, we're committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment where you can do your best work-whether in a lab, on the production floor, or in a hybrid office setting. Exposure to lifting more than 100 pounds is rare (if ever). </li><li>During maintenance work, employee will frequently be exposed to sustained bending, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl, reach above shoulders and repetitive bending or squatting with constant exposure to dynamic standing/walking and using hands to finer/handle or touch. </li><li>The employee will occasionally be exposed to static standing/walking, pushing/pulling (15lbs), floor to knuckle lift/lower (40lbs), knuckle to shoulder lift/lower (75lbs), shoulder to overhead lift/lower (15lbs) or climb/balance (on ladder). </li><li>The employee will rarely (if ever) be exposed to using foot/feet to operate machine. </li><li>The following vision requirements apply: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus </li></ul> <p>We continuously invest in our facilities and technologies to ensure they support your well-being, productivity, and growth.
