This position is responsible for the design, development, deployment, and ongoing operations of financial data and analytics used across Finance (e.g., management reporting, planning and forecasting insights, performance metrics, and operational reporting). The role helps create efficient, scalable processes and supports Finance leaders in understanding the interrelationships among financial systems, data, and business drivers.</p> <p>The candidate will be part of a passionate, highly collaborative team who works in a fast-paced agile environment. The candidate will work closely with business & technology owners, product managers, data champions and cross-functional teams to support data & analytical needs and enable analytics-as-a-service function.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will be a seasoned financial data analysis professional who supports a range of Finance functions and stakeholders, excels in delivering business value, and is familiar with modern data architectures. The candidate will bring comprehensive data & analytical technology skills in Tableau, data pipelines, cloud data & analytics platforms, data warehouses, and BI analytics & dashboards to turn complex data into clear insights and executive-ready reporting. Financial services domain experience from banking, credit union, fintech, and other financial sectors is preferred. This position is in-office in our Dublin HQ.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Independently build end-to-end data and analytics solutions (i.e. ingesting data, modeling data. analyzing data, developing reports/dashboards, and sharing insights) to meet organizational priorities and timelines. </li><li>Applies analytical mindset in deriving data driven insights, designs & creates intuitive dashboards, reports, and scorecards using Tableau and other tools. </li><li>Write SQL queries against the data to analyze insights </li><li>Performs data analysis of enterprise data & marketing data (Sales Force Marketing Cloud, Marketing Journeys, Google Analytics, Indirect Marketing, and others) and share insights with stakeholders </li><li>Analyzes enterprise and external data sources, creates optimized & resilient data pipelines to ingest and enriches them. </li><li>Liaises with business & technology owners using data story telling techniques. </li><li>Designs analytical consume ready data models by applying modern data warehouse techniques. Creates and enriches curated data models while ensuring conformed, transformed, enriched, and connected data sets </li><li>Practices and adheres to enterprise data standards, guidelines, data management architecture. Finds opportunities to improve best practices, identifies repeatable solutions to underlying problems. </li><li>Utilizing an AI mindset to help create solutions to increase efficiency and simplify existing workstreams </li><li>Applies & demonstrates Team-First mindset. Collaborates with team for data & analytics platform maturity. </li><li>Mentors junior staff as appropriate. Works with offshore and external partner resources and owns delivery of work items. </li><li>Ability to build data solutions using SQL, Tableau, Informatica, Snowflake </li><li>Professionalism, resourcefulness, initiative, or collaboration </li><li>Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union's policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>B.S. in computer science or equivalent degree with 10 years of professional experience in data & analytics technologies/solutions as data analyst or related roles with a good understanding of accounting / finance functions; or Masters Degree in Analytics with 5 years of relevant experience. </li><li>Ability to do detailed data results analysis </li><li>Proficient in data analysis using Tableau, SQL, and other data analysis techniques </li><li>BI analytics, dashboards using Tableau. Demonstratable experience in creating dashboards and data visualizations. </li><li>Proficient level data engineering skills using Cloud Data Platforms, ELT/ETL mechanisms, Informatica - IICS, Stored procedures to ingest structured, semi-structured datasets using files, and RDBMS - SQL Server. </li><li>Experience in applying Data management patterns to measure & monitor data quality. Applying data governance standards and creating technical data dictionary. </li><li>Financial services background with preference to domain experience in Credit Union, Banking, FinTech sectors. Other financial sectors and domains will be considered </li><li>Innovative problem solving, and Can-do mind set.
