<p>Senior Accountant</p> <p>ZAGG is a global leader in mobile accessories, driving innovation in device protection, power, and productivity through its ZAGG and mophie product lines.</p> <p>The Senior Accountant ensures the integrity and accuracy of accounting information through complex accounting activities, reporting and analysis. This role supports the month-end and year-end close process, provides financial insight through analysis, maintains compliance with GAAP, and assists in improving accounting processes and controls. The ideal candidate possesses strong accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>35% Accounting</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP.</p> </li><li> <p>Record and reconcile sales, revenue, and deferred revenue transactions.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor contracts and customer invoices to ensure proper revenue recognition treatment.</p> </li><li> <p>Support fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries.</p> </li><li> <p>Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls.</p> </li><li> <p>40% Month-End</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare journal entries, accruals, and revenue adjustments</p> </li><li> <p>Reconcile key balance sheet accounts including cash, reserves, prepaid expenses, inventory, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and company policy.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform monthly reconciliations between sub-ledgers and the general ledger.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete month-end close tasks accurately and within deadlines.</p> </li><li> <p>15% Analysis</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze financial results to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insight into sales and revenue performance to support business decisions.</p> </li><li> <p>Support management with ad-hoc analysis and data requests.</p> </li><li> <p>10% Other duties as assigned</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain documentation of accounting policies and procedures, especially around revenue recognition and sales accounting.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Finance teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Support implementation or upgrades of accounting software and systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Solid understanding of revenue and sales accounting principles. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>High attention to detail and organizational ability. </li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. </li><li>Must be a self-starter requiring little supervision or direction. </li></ul> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
