<p>Job Description:</p> <p>POSITION: Central Office Secretary</p> <p>DESCRIPTION: The Central Office Secretary provides high-level clerical and administrative support related to curriculum initiatives, data management, human resource support, and broader district operations. This role supports the smooth, efficient functioning of instructional and operational systems across the district through attention to detail, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Provide confidential clerical and administrative support to the Administration. </li><li>Prepare correspondence, reports, and materials related to curriculum, data, human resources, and district operations. </li><li>Maintain and update department records, files, personnel records, and logs, including those required for state-mandated data collections and compliance. </li><li>Coordinate mailings and communications to stakeholders. </li><li>Assist in the preparation and tracking of purchase orders, professional development documentation, and submission of required state reports and forms. </li><li>Support the maintenance of software platforms (e.g., GCN, Rubicon, PowerSchool, CT State Reporting). </li><li>Schedule meetings, manage calendars, screen calls and visitors, and provide excellent customer service. </li><li>Coordinate, manage, and participate in professional development and training. </li><li>Provide back-up support to the district's main office as needed. Training in accounts payable is required. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in office administration preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in an office setting is preferred. </li><li>Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) </li><li>Experience with databases and PowerSchool is highly preferred. </li></ul> <p>START DATE: July 14, 2025</p> <p>RATE OF PAY: $26.70 per hour</p> <p>25 hours per week - 12-month position</p> <p>APPLICATION PROCEDURE:</p> <p>EXTERNAL APPLICANTS: Please submit your application through our website: www.putnamschoolsct.org</p> <p>INTERNAL APPLICANTS: Please submit a letter of interest to Steve Rioux, Superintendent</p> <p>APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: Open until filled</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
