<p>Job Title: 1st or 2nd Shift Production Pharmacist</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Production Pharmacist to join our expanding pharmacy team. This role involves ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, providing medication counseling, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to prescription orders. </li><li>Provide medication counseling and education to patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions. </li><li>Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of therapy. </li><li>Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and therapeutic duplications. </li><li>Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and promote medication adherence. </li><li>Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories, allergies, and interventions. </li><li>Comply with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations. </li><li>Ensure proper storage and handling of medications, including monitoring for expired or damaged products. </li><li>Participate in pharmacy quality assurance programs and continuous quality improvement initiatives. </li><li>Assist with inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and managing pharmaceutical supplies. </li><li>Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting pharmacy services. </li><li>Stay current with developments in pharmacy practice and participate in ongoing professional development activities. </li><li>Perform other job-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy program. </li><li>Active, unrestricted Indiana Pharmacist license required. </li><li>Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a retail or mail order pharmacy setting. </li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping. </li><li>Proficiency in pharmacy management software and technology. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain pharmacist licensure in additional states to support a multi-state mail-order pharmacy operation. </li><li>Multi-state coverage may be required based on business needs, client requirements, and regulatory obligations. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position is within a mail order pharmacy operating with a closed-door policy. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Initial training will occur during day shifts until the second shift is fully operational. Employees enjoy weekends and major holidays off.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $67.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
