<p>Dialysis Registry Clerk - Northland Park - 40 Hours/Week</p> <p>Functions as the face and voice of the dialysis unit, providing a welcoming atmosphere for patients and others, both in person and on the phone. Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, completes relevant forms, enters key information into databases, uses and provides reports. Obtains patients¿ records, schedules tests and treatments, registers new patient, types miscellaneous materials and performs other related duties.</p> <p>Address: 21000 Northwestern Hwy. Southfield, MI 48075</p> <p>Department Description:</p> <p>Northland Park Dialysis is a 32-station unit operating three shifts, six days a week handling complex patients from ages 20-90 years old. Many require assistance with mobility devices. Operating hours for patients are 5:00 am - 8:00 pm and team members 4:45am to 8:30 pm. Employee schedules are made through several shift designs. Patients are medically managed by several Nephrologist and Advanced Practice Practitioners (APP). We have Registered Dietitians and Social Workers to address concrete patient needs such as transportation and dietary needs.?Unit staffing includes a Nurse Manager, a Nursing Supervisor, and many Registered Nurses and Dialysis Clinical Technicians. We have additional support staff of Biomed Techs and Dialysis Assistants overseen by a technical leader.</p> <p>PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Treats patients and families with respect and dignity, working in a compassionate manner toward the patients and their family members that are part of the dialysis program. </li><li>Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the billing cycle </li><li>Completes medical records responsibilities. </li><li>Assists with/enters scheduling information and corrections into Dimensions. </li><li>Fulfills lab computer responsibilities. </li><li>Fulfills Network/CROWN Web requirements. </li><li>Prepares monthly reports and statistics. </li><li>Adheres rigorously to all infection control/infection prevention requirements. </li><li>Maintains office supplies. Maintains a neat and safe work environment and appropriately speak up as needed regarding potential concerns. </li><li>Communicates and functions as part of an interdisciplinary team. </li><li>Positively contributes on a daily basis to the goals and objectives of the dialysis program (incenter and home) as appropriate to the scope of position. </li><li>Demonstrates the ability to plan work activities; demonstrates working knowledge and understanding of unit administrative, organizational, and operating procedures/policies. </li><li>Completes all required and assigned in-services and online education and demonstrates incorporation of the teaching/learning as appropriate to position. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Requires high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. </li><li>Requires computer experience; familiarity of Microsoft Office preferred. </li><li>Experience with entering information into databases preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Organization: Community Care Services </li><li>Department: Northland Park - Chronic </li><li>Shift: Day Job </li><li>Union Code: Not Applicable </li></ul>
