This position is on our friendly and fast-paced team and will manage our department website, coordinate our social media efforts, oversee our graphic design portfolio, and produce all our publications. TMA is a vibrant, collaborative department that is dedicated to helping students make amazing theatre and film. If you love movies and live performance, and if want to share all the exciting work TMA does in the world, we would love to work with you.</p> <p>What you'll do in this position:</p> <p>Web Design and Management</p> <ul> <li>Design and maintain departmental websites. </li><li>Design and develop new web applications as needed. </li><li>Generate and analyze web analytics for TMA sites. </li><li>Build reports and visualizations for the department leadership team. </li><li>Find ways to improve user experience with websites. </li></ul> <p>External Relations</p> <ul> <li>Establish communications strategies promoting department mission, visions, and values. </li><li>Produce department content that meet student and department needs (newsletters, social media posts, alumni reports.) </li><li>Collect and publish student interest and faculty research stories. </li><li>Create content for and work on CFAC External Relations campaigns. </li><li>Serve as the TMA representative for the CFAC External Relation Committee. </li></ul> <p>Publications</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate the look and preparation of publicity/advertising for internal department events (flyers, posters, scrapbooks, bulletin boards, newsletters, etc.). </li><li>Coordinate the look and preparation of publicity/advertising for the BYU Theatre and BYU Film seasons. </li><li>Prepare donor reports. </li><li>Create and/or order recruitment materials/swag within a set budget. </li><li>Serve as the TMA representative for the CFAC Marketing Office. </li><li>Supervise a student graphic designer. </li></ul> <p>What qualifies you for this role</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>A firm commitment to the mission of BYU. </li><li>Experience managing a website for an organization/business. </li><li>Experience managing social media pages and creating content for an organization/business. </li><li>Understanding of website and social media analytics. </li><li>Strong writing, editing, and communication skills. </li><li>A friendly attitude, a positive outlook, and a calm demeanor with a wide range of clients and in a moderately stressful environment. </li><li>The ability to be flexible and responsive to fast-paced work. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in Brightspot </li><li>Proficiency in Word Press </li><li>Proficiency in software like Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of design principles (typography, color theory, layout) </li><li>Skills in videography, photography, and image editing </li><li>Longevity (at least 9-12 months) </li></ul> <p>Application Instructions</p> <p>Please include a Portfolio of your creative work containing any graphic design, website content, social media content, or any of the above examples</p> <p>What we offer in return:</p> <p>This position comes with fantastic benefits, including:</p> <ul> <li>401k.
