Our IT team is a unique blend of operations and development and provides for an innovative, energetic, and ever-changing work environment.</p> <p>This position is located in Tipton, works the daylight shift, and requires 24x7 on-call nights and weekends.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Scripting for task automation and app/infrastructure support and troubleshooting </li><li>Supporting all applications as assigned and resolving any issues as they arise </li><li>Troubleshooting system issues quickly and effectively </li><li>Assisting with providing administration, troubleshooting, configuration, installation, deployment, maintenance, and upgrades for highly available systems </li><li>Developing and documenting processes for maintaining areas of responsibility </li><li>Demonstrating capabilities to work in a dynamic environment; translating company needs into solutions </li><li>Providing day-to-day operational support including responding to incidents, troubleshooting, and executing corrective action </li><li>When necessary, interacting with vendors to reach problem resolution; may include opening a service call, providing logs, and responding to advice received by phone call or email </li><li>Development, maintenance, and testing of contingency plans </li><li>Ensuring effective security, operation, and peak performance of servers </li><li>Working closely with development teams to implement and support New Pig's information systems and application platforms </li><li>Analyzing future needs for equipment acquisition and preparing corresponding budget proposals </li><li>Providing onsite and remote support as necessary as a member of a 24x7 team </li><li>Working flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays, and nights </li></ul> <p>Required Knowledge & Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combo of education/experience </li><li>4+ Years of experience as a System Administrator </li><li>Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and administer: </li><li>VMWare ESXi </li><li>Windows Server (2016-2022) </li><li>Microsoft Active Directory and all its components/capabilities </li><li>Microsoft TCP/IP Networking (DHCP, DNS, etc.) </li><li>User accounts and security </li><li>MS365 suite of applications </li><li>Proficient in PowerShell </li><li>IT security best practices </li><li>Critical thinking, decisiveness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision </li><li>Individuals must be able to work independently and must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Constant learner </li><li>Good prioritizing and time management skills </li><li>Able to function and adjust in a fast pace and busy environment </li><li>Must work on-call as specified, nights, and weekends </li><li>Willing to learn new technologies in line with New Pig's present and future needs </li><li>Require minimal training or guidance to evaluate new technologies and easily come up to speed as self-starter </li><li>Great documentation skills and willing to work both independently and with a team </li></ul> <p>Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Terminal Services or Citrix </li><li>Networking </li><li>HP servers and NAS </li><li>Pure Storage </li><li>MS SQL Server </li><li>Enterprise patch management </li><li>Enterprise backup </li><li>IT-related risk management and disaster recovery planning </li><li>IT-related data security and compliance </li><li>Remain current with the IT industry </li></ul>
