<p>Job Description: IT Imaging Systems Analyst</p> <p>Position Overview and Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The IT Imaging Systems Analyst is responsible for the installation, maintenance, performance monitoring, and lifecycle management of imaging modality hardware and supporting infrastructure. This role ensures reliable operation, connectivity, and seamless integration of imaging equipment with enterprise imaging systems through close collaboration with vendors, Biomedical Engineering, and Information Technology (IT) teams.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Install, configure, and support imaging modality hardware and associated peripherals. </li><li>Monitor device performance, availability, and connectivity to ensure uninterrupted clinical operations. </li><li>Coordinate with vendors, Biomedical Engineering, and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues. </li><li>Support modality onboarding and ensure hardware readiness for integration with enterprise imaging applications. </li><li>Assist with imaging hardware maintenance, upgrades, replacements, and lifecycle planning. </li><li>Maintain accurate inventory records, configuration details, and technical documentation for imaging hardware. </li><li>Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and device communication issues. </li><li>Support preventive maintenance activities and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. </li><li>Provide first level day-to-day technical support for imaging systems, including PACS, RIS, VNA, and modality integrations. </li><li>Escalate complex system issues to vendors or internal teams as appropriate. </li><li>Collaborate with radiology, cardiology, and other clinical departments to optimize imaging workflows. </li><li>Participate in imaging system upgrades, testing, validation, and go-live support. </li><li>Maintain imaging system documentation, including configurations, workflows, and support procedures. </li><li>Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with data retention, privacy, and security standards (e.g., HIPAA). </li><li>Assist in planning and executing new imaging system implementations or system migrations. </li><li>Provide on-call support as part of a rotating schedule. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting imaging equipment or healthcare technology. </li><li>Communication: Effectively communicates technical concepts to non-technical audiences. </li><li>Problem Solving: Diagnoses and resolve complex imaging system issues efficiently. </li><li>Clinical Workflow Understanding: Ability to align IT solutions with radiology and clinical workflows. </li><li>Project Coordination: Manages tasks, timelines, and deliverables for implementations and upgrades. </li><li>Regulatory Compliance Awareness: Working knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy regulations. </li><li>Strong technical aptitude with advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Solid understanding of imaging modalities, DICOM, HL7, IHE standards, and device interoperability. </li><li>Knowledge of hardware lifecycle management and medical device support processes. </li><li>Excellent documentation, and attention-to-detail skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment. </li><li>Experience working with imaging modalities and supporting infrastructure in a healthcare environment. </li><li>Experience with medical device connectivity and clinical systems integration. </li><li>Experience supporting PACS/RIS systems (e.g., GE, Philips, Fuji, Sectra, Agfa) preferred. </li><li>Experience with EHR integrations (e.g., Epic, Cerner) preferred. </li><li>Experience with enterprise imaging strategies and/or cloud-based imaging solutions preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in medical imaging environments. </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications/Education</p> <ul> <li>Technical degree or relevant certifications preferred. </li><li>Vendor-specific modality or imaging hardware certifications preferred. </li><li>Associate's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. </li><li>Additional certifications in related technical or healthcare fields are a plus. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements: Refer to Occupational Risk Assessment</p> <p>Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses.
