Responsibilities include preparing research submissions for the Institutional Review Board (IRB), maintaining databases, collecting and analyzing data, administering surveys, and assisting with conference materials and manuscripts. The role involves patient interaction, performing statistics and lab experiments under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), conducting literature reviews, and maintaining research supplies. The Research Assistant is expected to present his or her work at departmental conferences.
