<p>Position Title:</p> <p>Registrar Specialist II</p> <p>Job Group:</p> <p>Professional & Scientific</p> <p>Required Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Experience which demonstrates the use of student systems in higher education. Specifically, the use of financial systems, accounting systems, or student information systems.</p> <p>Experience interpreting, explaining, and applying complex policies.</p> <p>Experience training others on complex business processes.</p> <p>Experience that demonstrates strong attention to detail, independent decision-making, and managing multiple priorities and simultaneous projects.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Are you passionate about accuracy, collaboration, and student success? The Office of the Registrar is seeking a Registrar Specialist II to join our dedicated and innovative Tuition and Fees team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and effective communication are highly valued. The successful candidate will support critical tuition and fee processes that directly impact the student experience. If you enjoy analyzing data, solving problems, documenting procedures, and collaborating with partners across campus-all while contributing to a greater mission-this position is for you!</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a resource on all tuition and fee assessment policies and procedures. </li><li>Provide expert-level customer support to students, families, and campus partners. </li><li>Manage and respond to daily email and phone inquiries related to tuition and fees. </li><li>Conduct testing and ensure accuracy of tuition and fee assessment configurations. </li><li>Perform regular audits of tuition and fee assessments to ensure accuracy and compliance. </li><li>Troubleshoot assessment issues in multiple student information systems. </li><li>Partner with IT and Student Information staff to resolve process and system issues. </li><li>Support configuration of tuition-related attributes (e.g., tuition reductions, student cohorts). </li><li>Assist with new course fee creation and assessment troubleshooting. </li><li>Manage course fee request approvals and role assignments. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date documentation, procedures, and Knowledge Base Articles. </li><li>Create and deliver training materials for campus stakeholders. </li><li>Support and process Learning Community reserved seating requests and permissions. </li><li>Provide timely support during orientation periods to advisors and learning community staff. </li><li>Recommend and implement improvements to tuition and fee-related processes. </li><li>This position will also be expected to assist with the university commencement ceremonies at the conclusion of spring and fall terms. </li></ul> <p>About the Department:</p> <p>The Office of the Registrar is an essential part of the Division of Academic Affairs, committed to upholding the integrity of academic records and supporting student success across Iowa State University.
