To learn more about our?story?click?HERE.</p> <p>The Senior Simulation & Analysis Engineer will use their significant design and analysis background to analyze air flow on power tool components and assemblies - offering fast, reliable recommendations for revisions to increase robustness and optimize performance, weight, size, and cost. The ideal candidate will be strong in mechanical design with a passion for CFD & Thermal Analysis.</p> <p>You'll?also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Directly support New Product Development and Advanced Engineering projects with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) & Thermal Analysis of components and assemblies </li><li>Consult with teams on machine performance and boundary conditions </li><li>Perform corollary testing to validate CFD and Thermal Analysis predictions </li><li>Recommend geometry or material changes for design robustness as well as performance, weight, size, and cost optimizations </li><li>Complete analysis on competitive parts and products </li><li>Be highly agile - use highly effective communication skills to quickly understand the depth of work required and provide trade-offs of accuracy versus time to complete analysis. Articulate and prioritize time constraints where needed </li><li>Will receive analysis requests from a variety of team members - must be strong in prioritization, timing, and scope discussions </li><li>Mentor, train, and share knowledge to increase overall CFD capabilities of the department & organization </li></ul> <p>What TOOLS?you'll?bring with you:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering </li><li>5+ years of mechanical design experience </li><li>3+ years of Computational Fluid Dynamics experience </li><li>Proficient in CAD - NX (preferred), Solidworks, or similar </li><li>Strong proficiency in the CFD/thermal analysis theory </li><li>Substantial experience with CFD & Thermal Simulation Software (ANSYS Eco System CFX & Fluent Preferred) </li><li>Ability to quickly grasp component and assembly functionality, determine performance/load cases and constraints, and execute analysis with varying levels of complexity depending on criticality and timing to New Product Development team members </li><li>Highly motivated self-driver with never satisfied, always improving attitude </li><li>Strong root cause and failure analysis aptitude </li><li>Candidate must have a strong design background paired with Computational Fluid Dynamics & Thermal experience </li></ul> <p>We provide these great?perks?and benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Robust health, dental and vision insurance plans. </li><li>Generous 401 (K) savings plan. </li><li>Education?assistance. </li><li>On-site wellness, fitness center, food, and coffee service. · And many more, check out our benefits site?HERE. </li></ul> <p>Milwaukee Tool is an equal opportunity employer.</p>
