<p>Job Description</p> <p>Performs a variety of laboratory procedures relevant to the Cytogenetic Laboratory. Prepares and tests specimens for examinations. Reports test results to the Supervisor. Maintains accurate records.</p> <p>Job Responsibility</p> <ul> <li> <ul> <li>Performs a variety of laboratory procedures relevant to the cytogenetic laboratory. </li></ul> </li><li> <ul> <li>Prepares and tests specimens for examination. </li></ul> </li><li> <ul> <li>Reports preliminary results to the Supervisor. </li></ul> </li><li> <ul> <li>Maintains accurate records. </li></ul> </li><li> <ul> <li>Responsible for the operation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment. </li></ul> </li><li>Maintains the laboratory area in a clean and orderly manner. </li><li>Performs related duties, as required. </li><li>ADA Essential Functions </li></ul> <p>Job Qualification</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or Basic Sciences, required. </li><li>Licensed by New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (or as appropriate to area of assignment), required.
