<p>Long Term Substitute Instructional Technology Teacher Lincoln Street K-2 Elementary School and Lincoln Street 3-5 Elementary School (.6 FTE) Washington Street K-2 Elementary School and Washington Street 3-5 Elementary School (.4 FTE) $200.00 per day Anticipated December 18, 2025 through January 28, 2026 General Description: Franklin Public Schools is seeking an energetic, creative, and innovative Long Term Substitute Instructional Technology Teacher to provide effective instruction aligned to K-5 DLCS Curriculum Frameworks and to work collaboratively for the purposes of enhancing and improving DLCS curriculum implementation. Overview of Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for delivering instruction aligned to Digital Learning Computer Science Curriculum Frameworks </li><li>Plans a program of study that, as muc.h as possible, meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students. </li><li>Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and, in harmony with the goals, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects to communicate these objectives to students. </li><li>Works with all students grades K-5 </li><li>Regularly assess student learning through both formative and summative assessments </li><li>Maintains classroom environment conducive to learning </li><li>Will take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, and materials within the instructional technology classroom </li><li>Works collaboratively with colleagues </li><li>Assist in the testing of software and hardware in educational environments </li><li>Enhance collaborative approaches that support new instructional methodologies </li><li>Assist in the development, implementation, of district curricula </li><li>Enrich educational practices and programs </li><li>Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation. </li><li>Strives to maintain and improve professional competence. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree required. </li><li>Instructional Technology Specialist Licensure, or equivalent </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with students, staff, and administrators </li><li>Comfortable providing professional development in a various formats </li><li>Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and dependability </li><li>Excellent classroom management skills. </li><li>Must successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI). </li></ul> <p>We understand that our collective success depends on the robust exchange of ideas-an exchange that is best when the rich diversity of our perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences flourishes.
