<p>Position: LAN Admin/ Workstation Support/Field Support/PC Tech / Desktop Admin</p> <p>Location: Richmond, VA 23227</p> <p>Duration: 12 months</p> <p>Job ID: 174818</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>The LAN Administrator will provide workstation support, field support, and desktop administration services. This role requires a local candidate within 50 miles of Richmond, Virginia, and involves troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining client workstations, imaging systems, and software applications. The position includes an on-call rotation and requires strong customer service skills.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Diagnose and troubleshoot computer issues, including imaging via SCCM and handling large volumes of imaging requests. </li><li>Resolve imaging issues for PCs, laptops, tough books, tablets, and other devices. </li><li>Configure and test client workstations for VPN access using secure token identification. </li><li>Install and configure core applications and operating systems for client needs. </li><li>Establish Internet accessibility, TCP/IP addresses, and internal/external email accounts. </li><li>Support various connectivity requirements, including Ethernet and TCP/IP. </li><li>Provide support for cell phones, iPads, HP and OCE printers/plotters. </li><li>Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong communication with clients. </li><li>Increase productivity and minimize downtime by supporting company software, operating systems, workstations, and network connectivity. </li><li>Manage workload effectively, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with the team. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Desktop Technician/Administrator. </li><li>Proficiency in Windows 11, Office365 products, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive. </li><li>Experience configuring and testing client workstations for VPN access using secure token identification. </li><li>Strong customer service skills and ability to address client issues with urgency. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. </li><li>Ability to interface with a wide variety of clients and respond to multiple customer requests. </li><li>Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalency (Required). </li><li>Preference for candidates with experience as a LAN administrator in a regulated industry. </li></ul> <p>About PTR Global: PTR Global is a leading provider of information technology and workforce solutions.
