<p>Accounting Assistant</p> <p>Our client, a 75 year-old family owned Lancaster Company is looking for an Accounting Assistant. This 35-40 hour per week position will report directly to and support the Corporate Controller with main job responsibilities in accounts payable and receivable. Duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Verifying the accuracy of vendor invoices </li><li>Processing bi-weekly vendor payments </li><li>Preparing customer invoices </li><li>Applying cash receipts </li><li>Reporting and collecting on open receivable balances </li><li>Maintaining and improving CRM tools </li><li>Project work as assigned </li><li>Associates degree in related area of study or at least four years of experience in similar role </li><li>Strong knowledge of basic principles and practices of bookkeeping </li><li>Experience using accounting software </li><li>Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and effectively support the implementation and adoption of new technologies </li><li>Excellent problem-solving and follow through practices </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively and professionally </li><li>Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook </li><li>High level of detail and accuracy in their work </li><li>Ability to operate standard office equipment </li><li>A strong work ethic </li><li>Honest and trustworthy traits </li></ul> <p>Our client offers competitive wages and benefits, including 100% employer paid premiums for the high-deductible health plan and an employer funded pension.</p>
