<p>Immediate openings for A Pathology Assistant I in Boston, MA!</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform complete dissection, gross description, selection, and submission of tissue for microscopic examination. </li><li>Follow departmental guidelines for specimen handling and processing. </li><li>Adhere to laboratory quality control policies and procedures. </li><li>Assist with other departmental assignments in a timely manner. </li><li>Maintain a professional work environment. </li><li>Address and resolve issues affecting test performance or results reporting. </li><li>Maintain high ethical standards and integrity. </li><li>Apply knowledge of hazardous waste management and personal protection measures. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in a high-volume clinical laboratory environment is preferred. </li><li>Experience cutting frozen sections is required for this role. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in biology chemistry or a related science.. </li><li>Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is highly preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance processes. </li><li>High level of attention detail along with strong organizational skills. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Schedule: 10:30 am - 7:00 pm M-F</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
