Key responsibilities include daily production scheduling, lot control, inventory accuracy, reporting, sanitation, housekeeping, and adherence to standard operating procedures. Assures correct preparation of powder (order, weight-outs, etc.). Shared responsibility for new methods e.g. 5 S, standardize work, methods improvements and computerized weigh out system.</p> <p>This position may require the employee to work in excess of 40 hours per week. Overtime is scheduled based upon individual job responsibilities and the needs of the department.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.</p> <p>This job description is only a summary of typical functions. Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.</p> <ul> <li>Safety (line inspections, department safety audits, safety meetings). </li><li>Quality (high quality production, quality audits, clean environment) HACCP, Verification of CCPs. </li><li>Lot control, inventory accuracy, and reporting. </li><li>Develop and operate within SOPs. </li><li>Cost/Production efficiency, maintenance, strategic planning for the continuation of production. </li><li>Sanitation and housekeeping. </li><li>Employee relations issues. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required. </li><li>Experience in one of the following industries is required: CPG, Food/beverage, pharmaceutical, and/or packaging. </li><li>Bilingual Spanish/English required </li><li>College degree is preferred. </li><li>Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate employees. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Strong verbal & written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and spoken English and Spanish. </li><li>Highly organized, methodical, disciplined, and detail-oriented. </li><li>Excellent multi-tasking abilities are required. </li><li>Ability to strategically plan to meet production schedules. </li><li>Utilization of leadership and teambuilding skills for employee growth and retention. </li><li>Basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft office programs and internet). </li><li>Fiscally responsible in department, facility and company, as a whole. </li><li>Must lead by example, morally and ethically. </li><li>Experience with manufacturing machinery and inventory control is preferred. </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS & SALARY</p> <p>Jel Sert Company is committed to pay transparency and will provide further compensation information during the interview process. The minimum compensation for the 3rd Shift Production Supervisor - Blending Department is $29.37 per hour. Due to this being a 3rd shift opportunity, the shift differential to be paid for all time worked on 3rd shift is an additional $2.00 per hour. Compensation is determined by a candidates experience, education, skills, training, and the internal equity within our organization. actual compensation to be paid will be determined upon an offer.
