Interns spend at least 50 percent of their time on predetermined projects that enhance college-level skills and abilities. The co-curricular components of the program ensure competitive, reputable, and inclusive experiential learning. Interns participate in cohort weekly activities designed to enable:</p> <ul> <li>Professional growth and preparedness for the workforce upon graduation </li><li>Exposure to many facets of state government </li><li>Networking and camaraderie development among the cohort </li></ul> <p>About the BMV Branch Operations Internship:</p> <p>The BMV Branch Operations Intern supports a variety of projects, including, but not limited to, automating processes, improving branch work flow, and streamling daily branch tasks.</p> <p>About the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV):</p> <p>The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles has been named one of Indiana's 2023 Top Workplaces by its employees.</p> <p>Our mission is to serve all Hoosiers by providing best-in-class driver and vehicle services in a timely and accurate manner while ensuring security and transparency. The BMV team works throughout the state of Indiana and is dedicated to fostering an environment where we:</p> <ul> <li>Invest in our employees </li><li>Engage our customers </li><li>Provide sustainable systems </li><li>Embrace product innovation </li></ul> <p>Salary:</p> <p>The hourly wage for this position traditionally starts at $16.24 per hour for current undergraduate students and $17.24 per hour for those with an earned bachelor's degree.</p> <p>A Day in the Life:</p> <p>The essential functions of this role are:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in executing the implementation of a self-service terminal in a branch location. </li><li>Create, develop, and sustain the programmatic efforts for the assigned discipline. </li><li>Analyze data and feedback to provide recommendations. </li><li>Drafting content, reviewing edits, and facilitating small-group workshops to various audiences for branch operation needs. </li><li>Partner with other agency interns to create a field day. </li><li>Partner with regional managers to promote and enhance the quality of projects. </li><li>Collaborate with the State of Indiana kiosk vendor to ensure effective implementation of internal and external initiatives. </li></ul> <p>The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
