As an Internal Medicine office, we provide outstanding primary care and preventative health care to adult patients. We are constantly aiming to improve access for patients and to meet the evolving health care needs of the communities we serve. Primary care is all about relationship-building! The whole team really gets to know our patients to ensure that they are receiving exceptional, personalized care in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere.</p> <p>We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team. The operating hours of the department are Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, we can be flexible with schedules according to a candidate's availability and preference!</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>This role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.</p> <p>Does this position require Patient Care?</p> <p>Yes</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height. </li><li>Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers. </li><li>Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records. </li><li>Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms.
