One of their responsibilities is to assist patients in evaluating options for faster care, including the possibility of transferring to another hospital with immediate bed availability. This process is carried out with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care excellence and ensuring that the patient and their family feel confident and supported throughout their decision-making journey. Together with DocGo's integrated Ambulnz medical transport services, DocGo is bridging the gap between physical and virtual care.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Facilitate a close working relationship between our Client / Hospital and DocGo.</p> </li><li> <p>Act as the liaison and the point person to ensure a strong partnership with Hospital / Client staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Work independently and establish strong relationships with patients, clinicians, and staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain consistent and effective communications with DocGo's Communications Center and its staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in regular team meetings to provide updates to all client and DocGo stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a clear focus on high quality patient care and service.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide support for patients and family members during the transport process as well as anticipate unmet needs for the patients during their hospitalization.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow criterion-based transfer algorithm to assure right patient to right destination at right time.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage effective coordination with providers to facilitate timely transfers of emergency department patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Enhance patient experience during the emergency department visit and admission process.</p> </li><li> <p>Address any issues that arise and communicate problems and present recommendations or resolutions which may include the participation of DocGo leadership when needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and industry standards related to patient privacy, communication, and ethical conduct in all interactions with patients and external stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in all verbal and written communications, adhering to ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Stay informed about developments in healthcare trends, patient engagement strategies, and regulatory changes, seeking opportunities for professional development and incorporating new knowledge into daily practice.</p> </li><li> <p>Problem solve and find solutions for any areas of improvement opportunities.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or GED.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have 3 years of customer service experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid PA State EMR or EMT certification or enrolled in a qualified program.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to pass background checks incl. FBI fingerprint, PA Criminal and Child Abuse clearances.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Calendar, Excel, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders in a professional manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to multitask and perform interactively and proficiently in an extremely active clinical environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong customer service skills and ability to support patient needs as part of a coordinated model of care.</p> </li><li> <p>Work as part of a comprehensive healthcare team to facilitate seamless access transfer and transport.</p> </li><li> <p>Bilingual or Multilingual ability is an added value proficiency that would be advantageous in the position.</p> </li></ul> <p>EEO/AAP Statement: DocGo is an equal opportunity employer.
