<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Date Available: Commencing with the 2025-2026 school year. Official start date will be</p> <p>August 25, 2025.</p> <p>Schedule: Ten-month position; works 180 days when school is in session for students plus one</p> <p>additional day before school starts each year. Eight hours paid per day with a half hour unpaid</p> <p>for lunch.</p> <p>Salary/Benefits: In accordance with the support staff collective bargaining agreement.</p> <p>Ideal Candidate Possesses:</p> <ul> <li>College graduate preferred but not required </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Strong communication skills </li><li>Relates well to high school students, colleagues, and members of the public </li><li>Prior security experience preferred </li><li>A strong moral compass/integrity </li><li>Ability to maintain discretion and a high level of confidentiality </li><li>Willingness to provide security for concerts/plays/other after school events </li></ul> <p>Job Responsibilities Include</p> <ul> <li>Communicate effectively with students, staff, and members of the community </li><li>Greet and screen visitors to the school </li><li>General supervision of corridors, common areas, lavatories, and parking areas </li><li>Monitor students during lunch periods </li><li>Escort students as needed to the office or other parts of the school </li><li>Assist with student dismissal at the end of the school day </li><li>Follow the directions of the School Resource Office and/or the Head of Security </li><li>Assist school administrators as necessary </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Applications will only be accepted online at the District Website: www.er9.org.</p> <p>A direct link to the application page is: http://www.applitrack.com/er9/onlineapp/</p> <p>Applications must include:</p> <ul> <li>Formal letter of application </li><li>Resume </li><li>Three recent letters of recommendation </li><li>College transcripts if applicable </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer: The Region 9 Public School District is committed to maintaining a work and learning environment free from</p> <p>discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital/civil union status,</p> <p>ancestry, place of birth, age, citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation, genetic information or disability, as defined and required</p> <p>by state and federal laws.
