<p>Job Description:</p> <p>SUMMARY: To assist in the preparation and service of quality food to students in a quick and pleasant manner in an elementary school unit.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Complete responsibility for all phases of food service operation of individual school unit. </li><li>Responsible for requisition of all food and non-food items for service of daily menu. </li><li>Responsible for receiving final preparations and serving of daily menu items. </li><li>Responsible for collection, compilation and recording of all cash receipts, daily record of all sales, reimbursements, inventories and related paperwork. </li><li>Responsible for supervising sanitation of all food production areas and other food contact areas. Responsible for communication with head custodian when sanitation issues arise. </li><li>Performs other duties as requested by supervisors. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Cafeteria staff within the school.</p> <p>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.</p> <p>Quality Food Operator's Certificate (QFO) from a testing agency approved by the Connecticut State Department of Public Health</p> <p>Previous experience with large-scale cooking and food preparation/serving.</p> <p>SALARY: Per Contract</p> <p>DATE OF SERVICE: August 26, 2025</p> <p>HOURS: 7:30am - 2:00pm (6.5 hours/day)</p> <p>APPLICATION: Those currently employed by the Bristol Board of Education complete an internal application by 4:00 p.m. on July 29, 2025.</p> <p>All others fill out an online application at www.applitrack.com/Bristol/onlineapp.</p>
