<p>Overview</p> <p>Shermco Industires is seeking an Electrical Engineer- Power Studies.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide engineering related design, analysis and studies for domestic or international projects. </li><li>Conduct short-circuit, protective device coordination and arc-flash studies. </li><li>Perform power factor analysis and correction, harmonic modeling and analysis, and grounding analysis. </li><li>Occasionally interact with customers to gather critical information and review engineering plans. </li><li>Occasionally work in the field under the direction of Field Services team on shut-down, startup and maintenance projects. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 2 years relevant experience; prefer educational focus in Power Systems studies. </li><li>Experience in short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash and power quality studies PREFFERED. </li><li>Must have experience using SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EZPower, or other power system modeling software. </li><li>Must have knowledge of low, medium and high-voltage up to 500 kV. </li><li>Must be able to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods and be comfortable doing so directly to customers and co-workers. </li><li>Field experience with substations or switchgear highly desirable. </li><li>Utility design experience a plus. </li><li>Availability for occasional domestic and international travel a plus. </li></ul> <p>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER | DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE Shermco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
