Must be able to work weekends.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provides customer service by assisting dining room customers </li><li>Assists with ordering / receiving and rotating food and beverage product </li><li>Prepares for and cooks daily menu, specials and tournament items </li><li>Sanitizes kitchen and ensures adherence to all health department requirements </li><li>Performs set-up, planning and serving of special events </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.</p> <p>Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age</p> <p>Education: High School Diploma or GED</p> <p>Experience: At least 6 months cooking experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications: One to two years' cooking experience preferred with a demonstrated commitment to quality food and beverage service</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent customer service skills </li><li>Knowledge of principles and practices in food and beverage operations </li><li>Ability to understand verbal information and instructions </li><li>Ability to read and understand written material </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, coworkers and customers </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Moderate, though not constant physical effort, typically involving lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials up to 50 pounds </li><li>Ability to stand for periods of four or more hours </li><li>Frequent performance of activities requiring a full range of body movement including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling/bending, crouching, crawling, and/or twisting </li><li>Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate tools and electrical equipment as well as for driving equipment and vehicles </li><li>Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information </li><li>Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, smoke, and grease </li></ul> <p>Equipment Used:</p> <ul> <li>This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment </li></ul> <p>Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check prior to commencing employment.</p> <p>The Town of Castle Rock is an equal opportunity employer.</p>
