<p>Job Description (see</p> <p>The City of Saratoga Springs currently has an opening for a Building Inspector III. This is a full-time, non-exempt, position with the Saratoga Springs Building Department of approximately 40 hours per week. This position is under the specific supervision of the Building Official. This position includes performing inspections on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings; to accomplish this a variety of working level, Para-professional and technical duties are needed to assure compliance with city, county, state, and/or federal, international building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, energy fuel gas, and fire codes and ordinances.</p> <p>This opening may be filled with Inspector I, II, III or any combination of these. We are willing to train Inspector I's that have at least one residential certification.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities (See Attachment for a Complete Job Description)</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Building Inspector I</p> <p>Education • Graduated from High School or equivalent</p> <p>Experience • Entry level inspector with 0 to 4 years of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience</p> <p>Certifications Required: Must possess at least one [1] residential and/or commercial building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical ICC certifications have the ability to obtain a min of four [4] residential certifications within 1 yr. Midpoint - $29.05/hr. Maximum - $33.89/hr.</p> <p>Building Inspector II -- Minimum - $26.93hr. Midpoint - $32.32/hr. Maximum - $37.70/hr.</p> <p>Building Inspector III-- Minimum - $29.63hr. Midpoint - $35.56/hr. In lieu of the City's Social Security contributions, the City contributes 6.2% of salary into a 401(k) retirement plan.</p> <p>Leave time benefits include 120 hours of paid time off (PTO) accrued annually, 40 hours of short-term medical accrued annually, and 11 holidays annually.
